It’s been 50 years since the iconic 911 was first unveiled to the world. At that time, it proudly wore the 901 moniker. Now Porsche will celebrate this milestone by unveiling the Porsche 911 50th anniversary edition at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
It’s based on the current 911 Carrera S, but gets a slightly wider body that’s been extended by 44mm across the rear wheel arches. It’s also available in two unique colours: a darker graphite grey and a lighter geyser grey (pictured here).
Differentiating this model from others are chrome accents on the engine louvres, front wheel air inlets and a chrome strip bridging the brakelights. It also gets ‘911 50’ decals on the engine cover and doorsill kick plates, as well as rather prominent 20-inch alloy wheels.
