Jaguar tease the E-Pace

epaceteasermediasitecarouselJaguar have announced the existence of a smaller more compact version of the F-Pace. The E-Pace is a compact SUV similar to its Land Rover brother the Evoque on which it shares a base platform. The E-Pace is expected sometime in early 2018 where it will join the F-Pace and new electric SUV the I-Pace. Ian Callum, Director of Design at Jaguar, said: “The combination of sports car looks with Jaguar performance will ensure that the E-PACE stands out. Every Jaguar is designed to excite the senses, and we think E-PACE will do just that, albeit with its own individual character.”

Jaguar E-PaceThe E-Pace has a projected price of £28,500 and Jaguar is hoping this new compact SUV leads to the same success of the F-Pace’s impressive 83% sales boost, and on a base level it should, a cheaper version of the already popular F-Pace, Jaguar could be onto an even bigger success than the F-Pace. Jaguar also say the AWD system was developed from is sports car divison meaning that a E-Pace R may also be on the cards in the future, but that is pure speculation and maybe a bit of hope on my part. The full reveal of the E-Pace will take place on the 13th of July.

My favourite Car

I hate it when people ask me ‘what my favourite car is?’ because the world of cars is so diverse that you can’t specify just one ‘favourite car’. However if you specify an individual section of the car industry (supercars, 4×4’s) it gets a whole lot easier. So here is my list.

Ford F150 SVT Raptor

What can I say its massive, powerful and you can carry a heap of junk in the back thanks to the pickup. This car is as American as it gets, its one big ass truck. The 6.2 litre V8 engine puts out 411BHP and 434 lb-ft of torque, and who cares if it only does 11 MPG it’s a truck built for fun it just doesn’t matter.

Small car

Ford Fiesta

The Fiesta is my favourite small car simply because I learnt to drive in a Fiesta and my first car was a Fiesta. And to be fair the competition isn’t great, you’ve got the Fiat Punto which will fall apart in 30 seconds, the Honda Jazz which is for old people, the Citroen C2 which is so cheap it feels like its made out of a polythene bag. But I also love the Fiesta because it handles great, its better quality than all the other competition and its just as cheap.

Muscle car

Ford Mustang

This post does seem like an ode to Ford however this is just coincidence. The Ford Mustang is the definitive Muscle car I admit that the 80’s and 90’s mustangs were just there to sell a badge, but the new Mustangs are brilliant cheap and full of charisma they are brilliant.

Super car

Lamborghini Aventador

The Aventador is great it’s the latest giant Lambo, with 700BHP and 4 wheel drive, this car is awesome. As Jeremy Clarkson puts it “It’s a great big daft orange dog” and that’s it this car is fun and is easily a rival to the 458 just in the fun stakes alone.

Mercedes SLS

Some may argue that the SLS is a Super car however it is also a brilliant GT car with a great interior the big V8 engine cruises brilliantly and when you’ve cruised to Monte Carlo you can show off to all the models and playboys with your gullwing doors, reminiscent of the 300 SLS from the 60’s.

Classic Car

Jaguar E-type

The E-type is everything that is British, that’s all that needs to be said its pretty and fast and just great.
